Golf - Prestwick Country Club

Golf at Prestwick Country Club

when you Play golf at Prestwick you will find that the golf course provides the ultimate golf experience from your first drive to your last putt

From the championship tees Prestwick's golf course stretches out at 7,010 yards and plays to par 72.  It features just the right number of mature trees, water hazards, elevation changes, and deep bunkers protecting its large, sloping, perfectly manicured greens. Players may choose to play from one of four sets of tee markers to best match their golf skills and their desired challenge. Our weekend men's Sports & Pastimes events, ladies' golf leagues on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the popular junior golf program provide a fun-packed calendar of golf events that begins with the Spring Scramble in early May and runs throughout the golf season.

  • Ladies Golf
    • The lady golfers of Prestwick Country Club enjoy playing in our ladies’ league that provide each golfer just the right levels of competition. The main goal is to ensure a fun experience on the golf course for all skill levels.  Starting in May and ending in September the 9-Hole Ladies’ League plays every Thursday morning.

Whether you join the 9-Hole Ladies' League or play on your own, all ladies are invited to join the club for one of its many special events. Throughout the golf season, there are several ladies club tournaments, guest tournaments, couples tournaments, and luncheons.

  • Men's Golf
    • The men’s competitive golf season kicks off annually at the beginning of May with the Men's Spring Scramble, and continues throughout the golf season with a variety of competitive and fun formats.

Our Men's League meets Wednesday nights every week. You do not need to be part of the league to enjoy the golf tournaments and events throughout the season.

  • The Caddie Program

    • Thank you for your interest in the Prestwick Country Club Caddie Program.  Prestwick Country Club prides itself on our strong youth caddie program for ages 13-22.

Here at Prestwick, our esteemed caddie program has been an integral part of our legacy for decades.  Under the guidance of our Caddie Master, Rhett Bartolini, we take great pride in nurturing and training our caddies to be not only skilled golfing assistants but also well-rounded individuals.

At Prestwick, our caddies are actively involved in both regular play and advanced, competitive tournaments. Whether they are walking alongside members during leisurely rounds or providing invaluable forecaddie services during important matches, our caddies play a crucial role in enhancing the overall golfing experience. One of the highlights of our caddie program is our partnership with the renowned Evans Scholarship Foundation. We believe in investing in the future of our caddies, and through this collaboration, deserving candidates have the opportunity to earn a full-ride scholarship to select schools. The Evans Scholarship not only provides access to quality education but also offers a wide range of benefits, including valuable connections within the golfing community and beyond.

To streamline and optimize scheduling for our caddies, we have implemented an innovative online platform called ClubUp. This user-friendly tool allows caddies to access their schedules conveniently and plan their commitments efficiently. However, at Prestwick, we also maintain the cherished tradition of a daily roll call. This practice, primarily intended for newer, younger caddies, fosters a sense of camaraderie and ensures that everyone feels welcome and included in our close-knit community.

We take great pride in the success stories of our caddies who have excelled not only on the golf course but also in their personal and academic pursuits. The Prestwick Country Club caddie program is a testament to our commitment to developing exceptional individuals who contribute positively to society and carry the values instilled here throughout their lives. Join us at Prestwick Country Club and be a part of an extraordinary caddie program that will leave a lasting impact on your future. Whether you're a seasoned caddie seeking advanced challenges or a newcomer eager to learn, our program caters to all, driven by the principles of excellence, opportunity, and community.

Born and raised in Frankfort, Illinois, Rhett started caddying at Prestwick in 2014, and after meeting all of the members of the club, he developed a passion for being a caddy. Most of his summers were spent at Prestwick, as he became a High Honor caddie in 2017. The following year, Rhett also started working in the bag room. Rhett attended the University of Notre Dame, majoring in economics and Spanish and minoring in real estate. There, he worked at the Warren Golf Course, where he enjoyed seeing a different perspective on the golf world and meeting new people. When Rhett was not away attending university, he returned every summer and caddied at Prestwick, while also working multiple internships. Following his graduation from Notre Dame, Rhett currently works as operations manager at a manufacturing plant in Chicago Heights and was honored to take on the mantle of Caddie Master in April of 2023. His passion for the club and its caddies drives him to continue to grow and develop the caddie program. Rhett also plays an essential role in helping to develop future candidates for the Evans Scholarship.

Highlights of our 2021/2022/2023 program include:

      - Over 2300 Caddie rounds (walking and forecaddie)
      - 3 Evans Scholars
      - Caddie/Member Golf Outing
      - Caddie Banquet with academic awards

Congratulations to our Evans Scholars over the years, and our three newest Evans Scholars, Jack Bojan (left), Shane Palmer (right), and Raul Rincon (not pictured).
